About Adam

I read history, essays, and poetry. I am not competent enough to write the former so I dabble with the latter. I have little patience for fiction.

I spend my time indoors devising ways to get outdoors. Outdoors, I backpack, hike, run, bike, and kayak, take photographs, remove invasive flora, build trails, and try to find ways to stay out a little bit longer.

I teach to earn my daily bread. I teach because I can’t  imagine selling or making or buying anything to keep myself or my family alive. The very thought sends me to my backpack and to the mountains.
